The Autojack Fusion DARC-140 welder is a light weight and portable multi-function unit that comprises both an ARC welder and a lift TIG welder in the one unit. Powered by inverter technology, this welder has a much longer rated duty cycle than a standard transformer welder. The welder hasan easy to use one-touch display, anti-stick circuitry and utilises a scratch-TIG function.

Powered by 230v and either a 13amp or 16amp plug (not included) makes this welder perfect for the beginner and professional alike. Supplied with an earth clamp, electrode holder, mask and brush and supplied in a robust metal storage/carry case, this welder is must for the home or trade workshop. For producing professional results every time, the welder is powered by a 16 Amp supply lead (Plug not included) however it can also be used with a normal 13 Amp plug if required which allows welding up to 140 Amps.

1.6mm - 4.0mm. Hot Start is a special feature for MMA welding where the machine delivers a peak of current when striking the arc. This is important as it significantly increases the ease of starting electrodes, especially in difficult conditions such as damp electrodes, imperfect job surface, or when using'difficult to run' electrodes, etc. Arc Force, sometimes called "Dig" or "Arc Control", is a similar feature to Hot Start, except Arc Force operates during welding, not just at ignition.

When the welding machine senses a short circuit it will deliver a peak of current. This greatly assists in stabilizing the arc, preventing the arc from cutting out while welding and preventing electrode sticking. Anti-Stick allows the stick welding electrode to be easily detached, if it does begin to stick to the job. When the machine senses that the electrode is sticking, it will collapse the welding current to stop the electrode from continuing to weld itself to the job, allowing it to break free easily. Stands for Voltage reduction device, the purpose of the VRD is to reduce the OCV - Open Circuit voltage to a safer level to reduce the risk of electric shock.

This is a method of starting the arc when TIG welding that enables the operator to touch the tungsten to the work piece, lift it off the work piece, and then have full welding current begin flowing.
