Hyundai Inverter Welder: HYMMA-120 MMA / ARC Welder, 230V Single Phase, 120Amp. Weld up to 6mm steel. The HYMMA-120 is a lightweight and incredibly versatile single phase ARC / MMA welder from Hyundai. The HYMMA-120 is capable of welding mild steel up to 6mm. Weighing only 6.0kg, the HYMMA-120 is easy to carry around thanks to its adjustable harness and lightweight pressed steel case with powder coated finish for extra corrosion resistance. Accessories include electrode holder with 2m cable, earth clamp with 1.5m cable, chipping hammer and wire brush making the HYMMA-120 extremely cost effective. Adjustable ARC welder for multiple materials and thicknesses. The HYMMA-120 ARC welder features a stepless regulator for infinite variable control of the welding current with a low current facility for effective welding of thinner materials.
The welding (output) current of the HYMMA-120 can be regulated within the range of 20-120 Ampere making the HYMMA-120 adjustable to suit welding different materials and thicknesses of steel. Beware of lower quality models by always checking the Duty Cycle. Duty cycle is the amount of time, within a 10 minute period the welder can be used, on a given output.
For example, our 120A welder has a duty cycle of 35% when used on 120A output. This means it can be used for three and a half minutes in every 10 minute period. Duty cycles for the Hyundai welder range shown below.
Output Amperage / Duty Cycle / Period of use within 10 minute period. 70A / 100% / 10minutes.90A / 50% / 6minutes. 120A / 35% / 3.5minutes. 95A / 100% / 10minutes.
120A / 50% / 6minutes. 160A / 35% / 3.5minutes. 155A / 100% / 10minutes. 200A / 60% / 6minutes. 105A / 100% / 10minutes.
140A / 60% / 6minutes. 180A / 35% / 3.5minutes.Cheaper, lower quality welders claim to be a certain Amperage output, but can have a very low duty cycle on the output they have claimed. Adavtages of an inverter welder. The inverter technology used within the Hyundai welders has certain advantages compared to more traditional transformer welders. The inverter type welders are usually lighter, more cost effective and usually require less input power for a comparable output.
Fitted with thermal overload protection to ensure maximum durability. Suitable for welding steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel, titanium and their alloys. Suitable for fabricators, farmers, home mechanics, mobile technicians and DIY enthusiasts the HYMMA-120 is a good all rounder for welding with rods up to 3.2mm.The HYMMA-120 features high frequency starts allowing for smooth arc strikes. With low service and maintenance requirements, the HYMMA-120 is incredibly easy to use and maintain, and has full Hyundai UK parts back up. In the box: Electrode holder with 2m cable, Earth clamp with 1.5m cable, Chipping hammer & Wire brush.
(MMA) Manual Metal Arc - Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA) or (MMAW) Manual Metal Arc Welding is flux shielded arc welding or informally as stick welding, is a manual arc welding process that uses a consumable electrode covered with a flux to lay the weld. (TIG) Tungsten Inert Gas - Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) or (GTAW) Gas Tungsten Arc Welding is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. (MIG) Metal Inert Gas - Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG), (GMAW) Gas Metal Arc Welding or (MAG) Metal Active Gas is a welding process in which an electric arc forms between a consumable wire electrode and the workpiece metal(s), which heats the workpiece metal(s), causing them to melt and join. HYMMA-120 Inverter MMA / ARC Welder. Duty Cycle (%) Under 40ºC.1.0 - 3.2. Dimensions (H x W x L) (mm).
